Tour Plan
Day 1:
- Arrive in Hanoi and meet your local tour guide.
- Transfer to your downtown hotel.
- In the afternoon, visit Ba Dinh Square, home to major cultural and political events.
- Explore the Complex of Ho Chi Minh, including the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, house-on-stilts, fishpond, and One-Pillar Pagoda.
- Visit the Temple of Literature, Vietnam's first university.
- Take a 1-hour cyclo ride around Hanoi's historic Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem Lake ("Sword" Lake).
DAY 2:
1. Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before departing for Ninh Binh, located 90 km south of Hanoi.
2. Learn about Ninh Binh, which was once the capital of ancient Vietnam before Hanoi in the 11th century.
3. Visit the stunning landscapes of Tam Coc Caves and the ancient capital of Hoa Lu.
4. Explore old temples dedicated to King Dinh and King Le from the 10th century.
5. Take a boat trip in Tam Coc and admire the limestone karsts rising from lush green paddy fields, resembling Halong Bay.
6. Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant.
DAY 3:
1. Start your day with breakfast at the hotel.
2. Embark on a journey to Halong Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
3. Enjoy a scenic 3.5-hour drive to Tuan Chau Marina.
4. Board a 4-hour day cruise and explore the breathtaking Halong Bay.
5. Marvel at unique limestone formations like Sail Island, Fisherman's Head Rock, Butterfly Rock, and Turtle Islet.
6. Visit grottos and pass by floating houses during the cruise.
7. Savor a delicious lunch onboard.
8. Disembark and return to Hanoi for leisure time.
DAY 4:
1. Enjoy a final breakfast at the hotel.
2. Check out from the hotel as your journey concludes.
3. Spend some free time at leisure before departure.
4. Board your transfer to the airport (without a guide).
5. Depart from Hanoi, taking with you lasting memories of your trip.
