Tour Plan
Day 1:
- Arrive at Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam.
- Meet your local tour guide and transfer downtown to your hotel.
- Check in to your hotel and freshen up.
- In the afternoon, visit Ba Dinh Square – the biggest square in Hanoi where major cultural and political events occur.
- Start your visit at the Complex of Ho Chi Minh, including Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (view from outside only as it closes in the afternoon), Ho Chi Minh’s house-on-stilts, his fish pond, and the One-Pillar Pagoda.
- After visiting the complex, move towards the Temple of Literature, considered the first university of Vietnam.
Day 2:
- Start your day with breakfast at the hotel.
- Hop on to the beautiful 90km drive south of Hanoi to Ninh Binh, the former capital city of ancient Vietnam before Hanoi became the leading city in the 11th century.
- Begin your visit to Ninh Binh with a boat trip in Tam Coc, where you can see limestone karsts emerging from green paddy fields, giving the scenery the name "Halong-bay-on-land." This scenery is reminiscent of Guilin in China and Halong Bay in Vietnam.
- Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Ninh Binh.
- After lunch, continue to explore Bich Dong Pagoda.
- Time to go back to Hanoi, stopping along the way to visit Hoa Lu, which used to be the kings' palace in the 10th century and is now famous for the wooden reliefs of the shady Dinh and Le temples.
DAY 3:
1. Have breakfast in the hotel and then check out.
2. Depart at 9 AM for a 3-hour drive to Halong Bay.
3. Experience the scenic journey through the Red River Delta, green paddy fields, and rural villages on the way to Halong Bay.
4. Upon arrival, check into the overnight cruise.
5. Witness the beauty of Halong Bay, a Natural World Heritage site as designated by UNESCO.
6. Enjoy lunch on board and visit the grottos, with options for swimming or kayaking while passing floating houses and islets to admire their beauty.
7. Attend a cooking demonstration before dinner, which will be served on the cruise.
8. Spend the evening enjoying leisure time or participating in activities on the cruise.
9. Enjoy an overnight stay on the cruise.
DAY 4:
1. Have breakfast in the hotel and then check out.

DAY 5:
1. Rise early to witness the mesmerizing sunrise over the islets of Halong Bay, known as the "Eastern Sea" in Vietnam.
2. Enjoy a delicious breakfast on the boat before continuing the cruise.
3. Marvel at the unique islets with names like Sail Island, Fisherman's Head Rock, Butterfly Rock, and Turtle Islet.
4. Check out of your room and have brunch on board while the cruise returns to the pier.
5. Disembark from the cruise and transfer back to Hanoi.
6. Check in to your hotel and enjoy some leisure time.
7. Overnight stay in Hanoi.
DAY 6:
1. After breakfast, check out from the hotel.
2. You’ll be transferred to the airport (without a guide) for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City, also known as Saigon, the most dynamic city in Vietnam.
3. Fly to Saigon and meet your local tour guide for a transfer to the downtown area.
4. Check into your hotel and freshen up.
5. Start your city tour at the War Remnants Museum, one of the historical attractions in Saigon.
6. Learn about the struggles of the Vietnamese people for freedom and peace, and gain insight into the local perspective of the Vietnam War.
7. Explore the museum's exhibits, which include evidence of the war such as photographs, weapons, and documents that highlight the heroic actions of the Vietnamese people.
DAY 7:
1. Enjoy leisure time after breakfast before checkout.
2. Check out from the hotel.
3. Transfer to the airport with the driver (no guide).
4. Fly back to your sweet home.
