Tour Plan
Day 1:
- Board your flight from Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport (Kolkata) to Hanoi.
- Upon arrival in Hanoi, complete immigration and meet the local guide.
- Transfer to your hotel in Hanoi and rest.
- Begin a Half-day city tour at Ba Dinh Square, the cultural and political hub of Hanoi.
- Visit the Ho Chi Minh Complex, including Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, house-on-stilts, fishpond, and the One-Pillar Pagoda.
- Explore the Temple of Literature, Vietnam's first university.
Day 2:
- Wake up to a delicious breakfast at your hotel and prepare for an exciting day.
- Drive 90 km south of Hanoi to Ninh Binh, the ancient capital of Vietnam.
- Enjoy a boat ride through the stunning Tam Coc Caves, known as “Halong Bay on Land” with limestone karsts amidst lush paddy fields.
- Have a delicious lunch at a local restaurant.
- Visit Hoa Lu, the site of the former kings' palace from the 10th century.
- Marvel at the intricate wooden reliefs of the Dinh and Le temples.
- Conclude your exploration of Ninh Binh with a visit to Bich Dong Pagoda, a serene and peaceful site.
Day 3:
- After breakfast at the hotel, get ready and check out.
- Transfer to the airport (without a guide) for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon).
- Upon arrival in Saigon, meet your local tour guide outside the airport for your transfer to downtown.
- Check into your hotel and freshen up.
- Start your city tour by visiting the War Remnants Museum, a significant historical attraction in Saigon.
- Learn about the struggles of the Vietnamese people for freedom and explore the war-related exhibits, including photos, weapons, and documents.
Day 4:
- After breakfast in the morning, get ready and board your transfers to the historic Cu Chi Tunnels.
- Upon reaching, explore this historic site, which was once a 200 km underground network used for soldier movements during the Vietnam War.
- Watch a short introduction video showing how the tunnels were constructed.
- Crawl into a short section of the tunnels to experience the oppressive narrowness and heat inside.
- Visit various aspects of the underground network, including trap doors, storage facilities, weapon factories, field hospitals, command centers, and kitchens.
- After returning from the tunnels, stop for lunch at a local restaurant.
- Head back to Saigon and spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 5:
- Have your breakfast in the morning and pack your bags.
- Board your transfer to Tan Son Nhat International Airport (Saigon) for your onward journey.
- Your amazing Vietnam tour concludes once you reach Kolkata.
- Take back a lot of memories to cherish for a lifetime.
