Tour Plan
DAY 1:
- Welcome to Saigon (officially known as Ho Chi Minh City), Vietnam.
- Upon arrival, meet your local tour guide and transfer to downtown.
- Check in to your hotel (normal check-in time is 2 pm).
- Start the city tour at the War Remnants Museum, one of Saigon's historical attractions.
- Learn about the Vietnamese struggle for freedom and peace, and their perspective on the Vietnam War.
- Explore exhibits featuring war evidence such as photographs, weapons, and documents, showcasing the heroic actions of the Vietnamese generation during the war.
DAY 2:
- Enjoy breakfast in the morning and check out from the hotel.
- Head towards My Tho, famous for its coconut farms and family-run factories producing local products like coconut candy and rice paper.
- Experience the local life as you cruise along the banks of the mighty Mekong River.
- Visit an island in the area to enjoy fresh tropical fruits in a lush garden while listening to traditional southern Vietnamese folk music.
- Take a small boat ride through canals lined with coconut trees, visiting local factories along the way.
- Stroll through a garden where locals produce coconut candy and honey, and sample the popular honey tea.
DAY 3:
- After breakfast at the hotel, drive towards Cu Chi Tunnels.
- Explore the 200 km network of underground tunnels used during the Vietnam War, which included trap doors, storage facilities, weapon factories, hospitals, command centers, and kitchens.
- Watch an introductory video showing how the tunnels were constructed.
- Crawl through a short section of the tunnels to experience the narrowness and heat.
- Stop for lunch at a local restaurant after returning from the tunnels.
- Return to Saigon with the afternoon free for leisure, shopping, or personal sightseeing.
- Overnight stay in Saigon.
DAY 4:
1. Enjoy leisure time after breakfast.
2. Check out from the hotel.
3. Transfer to the airport with the driver (no guide).
4. Fly back to your sweet home.
