Hornbill Festival, Nagaland
The Hornbill Festival, held annually in Nagaland, celebrates the vibrant culture and traditions of the state's many tribes. Known as the "Festival of Festivals," it features traditional dances, music, crafts, and local cuisine. Set against the picturesque backdrop of Kisama Heritage Village, it offers visitors an immersive experience of Nagaland’s rich heritage and diverse tribal life.

Tour Plan
DAY 1 : Meet at Dimapur Station and Drive to Khonoma
- Meet at Dimapur Railway Station at 6:30 AM.
- Start a 4-hour drive to Khonoma (roads are challenging).
- Check-in at a homestay upon arrival.
- Explore Khonoma, the first green village in Asia, known for banning tree-cutting and hunting.
- Learn about the village's traditions and superstitions during a tour.
- Overnight stay at the village.
DAY 2: Village Tour with Zero Mobile Network
- Enjoy a leisurely morning and have breakfast at the homestay.
- Drive to a remote village with no mobile network.
- Explore the village and take a short hike to a hidden waterfall.
- Pluck fresh vegetables during the walk and bring them back for an evening meal.
- Campfire in the evening.
- Dinner and overnight stay at the homestay.
DAY 3: Trek to Dzukou Valley
- Post-breakfast, begin the trek to Dzukou Valley from Vishwema village.
- Hike uphill for 2 hours to reach the first viewpoint of Dzukou Valley.
- Walk another 30 minutes on flat terrain to explore the valley.
- Check into dome camps in Dzukou Valley.
- Dinner and overnight stay at the campsite.
DAY 4: Explore Dzukou Valley & Visit Hornbill Festival
- Start the day early with a walk around Dzukou Valley.
- Have a quick breakfast (sandwiches).
- Trek down to the base village (around 2 hours).
- Return to the homestay for lunch.
- Spend the afternoon at the Hornbill Festival venue.
- Return to the homestay for dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 5: Grand Closing Ceremony of Hornbill Festival
- Have an early breakfast at the homestay.
- Take a 2-hour village tour.
- Spend the entire day at the Hornbill Festival, enjoying the grand closing ceremony.
- Return to the homestay at your convenience.
- Dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 6: Departure from Dimapur
- Early morning departure from the homestay at 6:00 AM.
- Catch the 12:40 PM flight from Dimapur.
- Alternatively, take an overnight train from Dimapur to Guwahat
