Tour Plan
DAY 1 - Mangalore to Coorg
- Arrival at Mangalore Airport/Railway Station in the morning/afternoon by flight/train.
- Transfer to Coorg, approximately a 4.5-hour journey through scenic landscapes.
- Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and relax.
- Explore the local market in Coorg, known for its coffee, spices, and handmade goods. You can also find traditional Kodava handicrafts and local produce.
- Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.
DAY 2 - Coorg Sightseeing
- After breakfast, embark on a full day of sightseeing in Coorg, also known as the "Scotland of India" due to its lush greenery and stunning landscapes.
Sightseeing Points:
- Omkareshwar Temple: This temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, features a unique blend of Gothic and Islamic architecture. Its beautiful surroundings and serene atmosphere make it a popular spiritual site.
- Abbey Falls: A picturesque waterfall surrounded by coffee plantations and spice estates. The sound of the cascading water and the vibrant greenery make it a must-visit spot.
- Madikeri Fort: Built in the 17th century, this fort offers panoramic views of the town and surrounding countryside. The fort has a museum and is a great place to learn about Coorg's history.
- Dubare Elephant Camp: A popular eco-tourism site where you can interact with elephants, feed them, and learn about their daily routines. It’s a great experience for families and animal lovers.
- Golden Temple (Namdroling Monastery): One of the largest Tibetan settlements in India, this stunning monastery is known for its golden Buddha statues and intricate murals depicting Tibetan Buddhist culture.
- Honnamana Kere Lake: The largest lake in Coorg, it’s surrounded by lush greenery and offers boating opportunities. The tranquil environment is perfect for a relaxing afternoon.

DAY 3 - Coorg to Ooty Transfer
- After breakfast, depart for Ooty, which will take approximately 6 hours.
- Enjoy the scenic drive through the hills and lush landscapes of the Western Ghats.
- Upon arrival in Ooty, check in to your hotel and relax.
- In the evening, explore the local market in Ooty, known for its handmade chocolates, tea, and woolen garments.
- Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 4 - Ooty Sightseeing
- After breakfast, go on a full-day excursion of Ooty, known as the "Queen of Hills" for its breathtaking views and pleasant weather.
Sightseeing Points:
- Doddabetta Peak: The highest peak in the Nilgiris, offering panoramic views of the surrounding hills and valleys. There’s a telescope house at the peak for enhanced views.
- Pykara Lake and Waterfall: A serene spot ideal for boating and picnicking, surrounded by scenic beauty and tall eucalyptus trees.

DAY 6 - Ooty to Coimbatore Departure
- After breakfast, check out from your hotel and head towards Coimbatore.
- Visit Thandu Mariamman Temple, a 500-year-old temple known for its historical significance and beautiful architecture.
- Drop off at Coimbatore Airport/Railway Station for your departure
