Tour Plan
Day 1:
- Upon arrival at Hanoi airport, complete the immigration process and meet the local guide.
- Board your transfer to the hotel in Hanoi and rest.
- In the afternoon, begin a half-day city tour starting from Ba Dinh Square, the heart of Hanoi.
- Visit the Complex of Ho Chi Minh, including Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, house-on-stilts, fishpond, and the Japanese One-Pillar Pagoda.
- Explore the Temple of Literature, the first university in Vietnam.
- Enjoy a 1-hour cyclo ride around the Old Quarter of Hanoi and Hoan Kiem Lake (Sword Lake).
- Wander through the narrow streets of the Old Quarter to experience local life.
Day 2:
- Wake up to a delicious breakfast at the hotel and prepare for an exciting day.
- Drive 90 km south of Hanoi to Ninh Binh, the historic ancient capital of Vietnam.
- Take a boat ride through the stunning Tam Coc Caves, known as “Halong Bay on Land,” with limestone karsts amidst lush paddy fields.
- Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant.
- Visit Hoa Lu, the site of the former kings' palace from the 10th century.
- Marvel at the intricate wooden reliefs of the Dinh and Le temples.
- Conclude the exploration of Ninh Binh with a visit to the serene Bich Dong Pagoda.
Day 3:
- Start your day with breakfast at the hotel and prepare for the day.
- Board your transfer to Halong Bay, a natural UNESCO World Heritage Site.
- Enjoy a 3.5-hour road journey through the picturesque Vietnamese countryside to Tuan Chau Marina.
- Board your lunch cruise for a 4-hour exploration of Halong Bay, also known as the "Descending Dragon" Bay.
- Marvel at uniquely shaped limestone and karst formations, including Sail Island, Fisherman's Head Rock, Butterfly Rock, and Turtle Islet.
- Stop by caves and pass by floating houses during the cruise.
- Enjoy a delicious lunch onboard before heading back to the mainland.
Day 4:
- After breakfast at the hotel, get ready and check out.
- Transfer to the airport (without a guide) for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), the most dynamic city in Vietnam.
- Fly to Saigon and meet your local tour guide outside the airport for your transfer to the downtown area.
- Upon arrival, check into your hotel and freshen up.
- Spend the rest of the day at leisure, exploring major landmarks of the city, such as the War Remnants Museum, Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, and Central Post Office.
- In the evening, enjoy a shopping spree at Ben Thanh Market.
Day 5:
- Post breakfast, prepare for your transfer to the historic Cu Chi Tunnels.
- Explore this historic site, a 200 km underground network used for soldier movement during the Vietnam War.
- Watch a short introduction video about the tunnel's construction upon arrival.
- Crawl into a short section of the tunnels to experience their oppressive narrowness and heat.
- Visit various features of the tunnel network, including trap doors, storage facilities, weapon factories, field hospitals, command centers, and kitchens.
- Stop for lunch at a local restaurant after returning from the tunnels.
- Head back to Saigon and spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 6:
- Have breakfast in the morning and pack your bags.
- Board your transfer to Tan Son Nhat International Airport (Saigon).
- Your amazing Vietnam tour concludes upon arrival at the airport for your onward journey.
